Dental Care Camps

Innocent Hearts School Organizes Dental Care Camps to Promote Oral Hygiene Awareness Among Young Learners

Innocent Hearts School successfully organized Dental Care Camps at its Cantt.–Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road campuses, reinforcing its commitment to student well-being and preventive healthcare. The initiative aimed to empower young learners with essential knowledge about oral hygiene, helping them develop strong habits that will contribute to their long-term health.

The camps were led by expert alumnae Dr. Astha Bowry and Dr. Bhawana, who returned to their alma mater to contribute meaningfully to the health and awareness of the next generation. Accompanied by their dedicated medical teams, they conducted interactive sessions, thorough dental check-ups, and practical demonstrations designed to make oral care both fun and informative for students.

Interactive Sessions Packed with Learning

The dental experts engaged students through age-appropriate discussions, illustrations, and activities. The sessions covered vital topics such as:

  • The correct way to brush and floss

  • The importance of regular dental check-ups

  • Effects of sugary snacks on teeth

  • Habits that help maintain strong gums and fresh breath

  • How oral health is connected to overall physical well-being

Children participated with enthusiasm, asking questions and demonstrating their understanding of the importance of dental hygiene. The visual aids and hands-on demonstrations made it easy for them to grasp concepts and relate them to daily routines.

Professional Dental Check-Ups for Students

One of the key highlights of the camp was the free dental examination offered to students. Dr. Astha Bowry and Dr. Bhawana, along with their teams, conducted individualized assessments to:

  • Detect early signs of cavities

  • Identify gum-related concerns

  • Offer guidance for correcting brushing habits

  • Provide recommendations for follow-up treatment wherever necessary

These check-ups helped parents gain important insights into their child’s dental health and understand any preventive care that might be required.

Strengthening Habits, Encouraging Responsibility

At Innocent Hearts, education goes beyond the classroom. The Dental Care Camps were thoughtfully designed to instill responsibility, awareness, and personal hygiene practices in children from an early age. When students learn why good oral health matters, they are more likely to adopt healthy routines that stay with them throughout life.

The young learners actively participated, shared their own experiences, and even pledged to follow proper brushing and dietary habits. The enthusiasm showcased the success of the sessions in communicating important messages in a relatable manner.

Insights from Leadership: The Power of Preventive Healthcare

Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry, Director CSR, addressed the students and appreciated the efforts of the dental teams. She emphasized the role of preventive healthcare in shaping lifelong wellness.

She highlighted how initiatives like dental camps not only educate children but also reduce future health risks by identifying problems early. Dr. Palak reiterated the school’s commitment to creating awareness-driven programs that nurture healthy minds and bodies.

Her message underlined the broader vision of the institution—equipping students with knowledge that promotes a balanced, responsible, and health-conscious lifestyle.

A Heartfelt Gesture of Gratitude

Innocent Hearts School extended sincere gratitude to Dr. Astha Bowry, Dr. Bhawana, and their medical teams for dedicating their time and expertise to the students. Their contribution reflects the spirit of community service and the impactful role alumni can play in giving back to their educational roots.

The school also acknowledged the support of teachers and staff who ensured that the camps ran smoothly, making the experience meaningful and beneficial for every child.

A Step Toward Brighter Smiles and Healthier Futures

The Dental Care Camps concluded on a positive note, with students leaving more informed, confident, and motivated to care for their teeth and gums. The initiative marks yet another milestone in Innocent Hearts’ mission to create a safe, healthy, and holistic learning environment.

By encouraging healthy habits early in life, the school continues to take significant strides toward shaping happier, healthier futures—one bright smile at a time.
