“Prismora – A Spectrum of Skills”

International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Promoting Healthy Smiles on International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Day On the occasion of International Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Day , students of the Health & Wellness Club at Innocent Hearts School, Loharan participated in a special awareness session organized under Disha – an initiative by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust . The session was conducted by the Punjab State Chapter of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Nidhi Prahar . The interactive session enlightened students about the importance of oral hygiene, prevention of jaw and facial injuries, early detection of oral cancer, and the role of healthy dietary habits in maintaining dental wellness. Celebrated World Wetlands day

The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education under the aegis of  DISHA -an initiative by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical trust celebrated World Wetlands day with the theme - ‘Wetlands and traditional knowledge: Celebrating cultural heritage’. Creative wetland pot painting competition was organised to raise awareness amongst the student-teachers about the vital role of wetlands for people and the planet and the immense need of restoring wetlands. NSS volunteer Kavita Giri and Purnima Sethi achieved first prize in disseminating the message of valuing, managing, restoring and loving wetlands through their realistic pot paintings. Megha Sharma, Ritika Kaura and Isha Bajaj bagged second prize by creatively crafting migratory birds, fishes and animals symbolising the importance of wetlands in saving the lives of many endangered species.
