BLOOD DONATION CAMP

A blood donation camp was organized at Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital under 'Disha-an Initiative' run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, in association with Civil Hospital, Jalandhar. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Chander Bowry (Managing Director - Medical Services, Innocent Hearts Group). People from different sections of society contributed their bit in this noble cause. Dr. Chander Bowry, Director of  Innocent Hearts Multi-specialty Hospital,, advised & made the donors aware that Blood Donation not only proves out to be a boon for someone's life but also keeps our body healthy. Everyone must keep donating blood time to time.   

Eye Check-up Camp

Under Disha -an initiative run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT ), free eye check up camp was organised on the birth anniversary of founder director Mrs. Kamlesh Bowry at Innocent Hearts.  This camp was organised under the project  Vision Kamlesh.   Head of Innocent Hearts Eye Center ,Dr. Rohan Bowry(MS Opthalmology, F.P.R.S.Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist) offered this free services  to the needy & deprived sections of society. Free Surgery & medicines were also made available.  

Dr. Chandra Bowry and Dr. Sumit Gupta- Pioneer of Medical Science

  The  Director of  Innocent Hearts Multi-speciality Hospital, Dr. Chandra Bowry, and Dr. Sumit Gupta were felicitated with the award during the Pioneer of Medical Science - Health and Wellness Conclave for their continuous efforts towards the health of the people in the society, organized by SRS Foundation

Expert Talk on World Heart Day

    In order to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases, Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust conducted an Expert Talk on the occasion of World Heart Day. The resource person for the session was Dr. Vivek Rana, a renowned Cardiologist, at Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital. Dr. Vivek Rana acquainted the audience with the causes, symptoms and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. He further shared some valuable tips to follow healthy dietary habits that control the level of sugar & cholesterol in the body and keeps the heart healthy. He motivated the students to adopt the habit of regular exercise and meditation so as to reduce the stress level of the body.

Remembering Late Dr. M. D. Bowry on his birthday, Eye OPD started at his clinic at Bazaar Panjpeer, Jalandhar

  On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late Dr. M D. Bowry, who devoted whole of his life to serve the humanity, DISHA - An Initiative by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, has introduced EYE OPD at his clinic located in Bazaar Panjpeer, under the project 'Dr. M.D. Bowry Diabetic Retinal Care'. His grandson Dr. Rohan Bowry (MBBS, MS (Eye), FPRS, Phaco-Refractive Surgeon) will conduct the OPD at an affordable price, every Thursday.  

Free Cataract Surgery Camp under “Vision Kamlesh”

  DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT), organized a Free Cataract Surgery Camp under the project “KAMLESH VISION” in collaboration with Innocent Hearts Eye Centre, in accordance with the directions of Dr. Rohan Bowry (MS Opthalmology, F.P.R.S. Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist). It was held, at village Rampur Lallian which is one of the 40 villages adopted by the Trust wherein around 200 patients were examined by Dr Rohan & his team of experts. Medicines were distributed for FREE & the surgeries were performed keeping in view, all the necessary preventive measures. Dr. Palak Bowry (Director CSR, Innocent Hearts Group) ensured to facilitate the patients with the transport arrangements & committed to keep working for the welfare of the underprivileged sections of the society in the future as well

Another medical camp in collaboration with Innocent Hearts Multispeciality Hospital, was organised by BMEMT at village Loharan.

 

'World Health Day

  DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT)  World Health Day was celebrated in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road) with a purpose to make the children aware about health, cleanliness and food habits. Further, various activities were conducted under the theme 'Our Planet, Our Health' followed by a Dental checkup camp by richly experienced and qualified doctors who shared some valuable tips on cleanliness with the audience for a better self care. The children were also encouraged to take a healthy & nuitrious diet including milk, curd, green vegetables and fresh fruits to stay disease-free.

Stepping ahead with two new projects to serve the society

  Under the guidelines of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, a unit of Innocent Hearts Medical Care Center (Bowry Medical Centre) ‘Innocent Hearts Eye Centre', located at 73 Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar has announced two latest projects for the welfare of society. Dr. Rohan Bowry (MS Opthalmology) (F.P.R.S. Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist) being the chief of the 'INNOCENT HEARTS EYE CENTER’ mentioned that the two projects, VISION KAMLESH (Free Cataract Surgery Camp) and Dr. MD BOWRY DIABETIC RETINAL CARE (treatment of eyes of diabetic patients with special care), are going to be launched shortly for the betterment of society. The camps to be held will be organized in the adopted villages of Trust & shall be completely free of cost.

COVID-19 Vaccination Camp for Children (15-18 years)

DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT),  organized Covid-19 vaccination camp for school students aged between 15 to 18 years, at Innocent Hearts, in collaboration with the Civil Hospital under Medical Services.  F urther, the children, along with their parents were made aware by renowned medical experts- Dr. Anup Bowry (Chairman of Innocent Hearts Group) and Dr. Chander Bowry (Managing Director, Health Services) about the benefits of vaccination followed by necessary precautions to prevent the risk of virus infection.

A new achievement of Innocent Hearts Group: Innocent Hearts Eye Center

 In association with the Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust which has always been working for the benefit of the society, Innocent Hearts Medical Care Centre (Bowry Medical Centre) has attached one more unit to it – Innocent Hearts Eye Centre, located at 73, Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar, Jalandhar, & run by Dr. Rohan Bowry (M.S. Ophthalmology) (F.P.R.S. Phaco-Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist). Here, Patients are treated with advanced technology based equipments. The facility of monofocal, multifocal, trifocal lenses & MODULAR OT is also available                                          

Dengue Awareness Camp organized by Bowry Memorial Trust(BMEMT)

  BMEMT organized a Dengue Awareness Camp to spread the awareness on mosquito-borne viral infection -Dengue, an epidemic which is rapidly spreading due to frequent climatic changes. Dr. Nupur Sood, (Consultant Pediatrician, Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital) shared some   basic symptoms, causes and necessary prevention measures of Dengue, thereby focusing that efficient and accurate diagnosis of dengue is of primary importance for proper treatment of patient.                                 

Awareness Session on World Sight Day

  Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust under DISHA – a campaign, celebrated World Sight Day by enlightening the masses on visual impairment and blindness. On this global awareness day, Dr Rohan Bowry (M.B.B.S., M.S - Ophthalmology), F.R.R.S. Fellow in Phaco-Refractive, acquainted the people with common eye problems like Refractive errors, Cataract, Diabetic retinopathy and age–related macular degeneration & also shared some valuable tips to keep their eyes healthy.

International Girl Child Day

  The NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated International Girl Child Day in collaboration with DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT), to advocate the notion that girls are no less than boys in all the spheres of life.   A drama on the theme of ‘ Solutions to Gender Inequality – ‘Digital Generation, Our Generation’ was enacted by NSS volunteers , throwing light on the strategies to be adopted to equip girls with qualitative education and make their future bright.

“Safe Maternal and New-born Care”

  Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions,  DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT),organized a webinar on topic “ Safe Maternal and New-born Care” on the eve of World Patient Safety Day.   A team of eminent medical professionals enlightened the audience on the safety measures that each woman has to follow during pregnancy to ensure the good health of new born & herself, thereby focussing on healthy diet plan, MMR vaccination and folic acid prior to conceiving for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth in future. The importance of hand washing and exclusive breastfeeding was discussed for new born safety.  The session was highly interactive & fruitful.

Medical Camps

Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, in collaboration with Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital(IHMH), have been organizing medical camps under the patronage of DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT), from time to time, in an endeavor to discharge its social responsibility towards the society whereby the needy and deprived are made aware about health concerns & facilitated with FREE medical checkup by registered medical practitioners. Many villages and oppressed sections of society have been benefited from such camps such as- Village Mehatpur, Rampur Lallian, Nijjran, Lallian Kalan, Boparai Kalan, Khambra & many more.

BLOOD GROUPING CAMP

  A Blood Grouping Camp was organized, under DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT), with the noble motive of saving lives in emergency/critical medical conditions in order to avoid the delay which may be caused in testing the blood group of the donor/recipient. The camp received a massive response by way of participation in thousands from general public whereby they were also made aware about   the composition of  blood which is same for all & eight different blood groups namely A+ve, A-ve, B+ve, B-ve, AB+ve, AB-ve, O+ve, O-ve.

Covid-19 Vaccination drive

A FREE Covid-19 Vaccination camp for all age groups above 18 years was organized under DISHA, an initiative of Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust (BMEMT) with the purpose to protect the society against pandemic, under able supervision of medical experts, thereby spreading awareness regarding the necessary precautions & safety measures post vaccinations.
