World Sight Day

Under 'Disha- An Initiative' (run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust), 'World Sight Day' was celebrated in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road) to make the children aware about visual impairment and blindness and also to promote the importance of vision health. Director CSR , Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry gave important tips to children for eye care and advised them to keep the eyes healthy , add  balanced diet in their routine, reduce  screen time, get regular eye checkups done. Further, she enlightened the children about a remarkable 20- formula, as per which one should focus on something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes as it immensely  helps in relaxing the eyes while watching the screen and preventing damage caused by continuous screen viewing.

Blood Donation Camp

The NSS Club of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions, in collaboration with PAHAL NGO Jalandhar, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp. The teachers, students, members of the institution , all volunteered to donate blood for a noble cause. Blood donation is a great act of charity that can save lives, and BMEMT in collaboration with Innocent Hearts Group, are committed to promote this vital cause for social welfare & community service.  The event concluded with heartfelt thanks to all the donors, who were appreciated with Certificates and Mementos for their selfless contribution.

Eye & Dental Check-up Camp

  Under the aegis of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT)  an eye & Dental check up camp was conducted, which offered a valuable opportunity to monitor and protect the students' vision, focussing on the health and well-being of the children  .

WORLD HEALTH DAY

  WORLD HEALTH DAY Under 'Disha - An Initiative' run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, 'World Health Day' was celebrated, delivering awareness sessions about food safety. Meditation was taught through the 'Connecting with Your Soul' activity, in order to restrain and control the mind through spiritual process. The Health and Wellness Club conducted 'Symposium through Peers' activity with the children, in which the discussion was done on World Health Organization. The children were made aware about nutritious diet, cleanliness and food habits. Tips on healthy diet were shared, thereby highlighting the significance of good health.

Free Medical Check-up Camp

  A comprehensive medical camp hosted by  DISHA, at Guru Ravidas Mandir, Mehatpur, provided crucial FREE health services to the community. Specialists including Eye Surgeon Dr. Rohan Bowry, Diabetes Specialist Dr. Sahil Kalia, and Dental Surgeon Dr. Aastha Bowry, along with their teams from reputable medical facilities, administered free checkups and distributed medicines as well. The event, facilitated by Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust, addressed various health concerns such as eye ailments, dental issues, kidney problems, and general health checkups. Patients received personalized care and guidance from expert professionals. This collaborative effort underscores a commitment to public welfare and accessible healthcare in the community.

HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP,

  Dental Check up Camp Under  'Disha- an  Initiative' run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, a Dental Checkup Camp was organized, in which a specially qualified & experienced Dentist, Dr. Bhavana Gabha was invited. She examined the children's teeth. She gave valuable instructions on dental cleaning & hygiene. Furthermore, she helped the children understand the significance of healthy teeth

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

A blood donation camp was organized at Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital under 'Disha-an Initiative' run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, in association with Civil Hospital, Jalandhar. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Chander Bowry (Managing Director - Medical Services, Innocent Hearts Group). People from different sections of society contributed their bit in this noble cause. Dr. Chander Bowry, Director of  Innocent Hearts Multi-specialty Hospital,, advised & made the donors aware that Blood Donation not only proves out to be a boon for someone's life but also keeps our body healthy. Everyone must keep donating blood time to time.   

Eye Check-up Camp

Under Disha -an initiative run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT ), free eye check up camp was organised on the birth anniversary of founder director Mrs. Kamlesh Bowry at Innocent Hearts.  This camp was organised under the project  Vision Kamlesh.   Head of Innocent Hearts Eye Center ,Dr. Rohan Bowry(MS Opthalmology, F.P.R.S.Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist) offered this free services  to the needy & deprived sections of society. Free Surgery & medicines were also made available.  

Dr. Chandar Bowry and Dr. Sumit Gupta- Pioneer of Medical Science

  The  Director of  Innocent Hearts Multi-speciality Hospital, Dr. Chandar Bowry, and Dr. Sumit Gupta were felicitated with the award during the Pioneer of Medical Science - Health and Wellness Conclave for their continuous efforts towards the health of the people in the society, organized by SRS Foundation

Expert Talk on World Heart Day

    In order to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases, Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust conducted an Expert Talk on the occasion of World Heart Day. The resource person for the session was Dr. Vivek Rana, a renowned Cardiologist, at Innocent Hearts Multispecialty Hospital. Dr. Vivek Rana acquainted the audience with the causes, symptoms and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. He further shared some valuable tips to follow healthy dietary habits that control the level of sugar & cholesterol in the body and keeps the heart healthy. He motivated the students to adopt the habit of regular exercise and meditation so as to reduce the stress level of the body.

Remembering Late Dr. M. D. Bowry on his birthday, Eye OPD started at his clinic at Bazaar Panjpeer, Jalandhar

  On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Late Dr. M D. Bowry, who devoted whole of his life to serve the humanity, DISHA - An Initiative by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, has introduced EYE OPD at his clinic located in Bazaar Panjpeer, under the project 'Dr. M.D. Bowry Diabetic Retinal Care'. His grandson Dr. Rohan Bowry (MBBS, MS (Eye), FPRS, Phaco-Refractive Surgeon) will conduct the OPD at an affordable price, every Thursday.  

Free Cataract Surgery Camp under “Vision Kamlesh”

  DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT), organized a Free Cataract Surgery Camp under the project “KAMLESH VISION” in collaboration with Innocent Hearts Eye Centre, in accordance with the directions of Dr. Rohan Bowry (MS Opthalmology, F.P.R.S. Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist). It was held, at village Rampur Lallian which is one of the 40 villages adopted by the Trust wherein around 200 patients were examined by Dr Rohan & his team of experts. Medicines were distributed for FREE & the surgeries were performed keeping in view, all the necessary preventive measures. Dr. Palak Bowry (Director CSR, Innocent Hearts Group) ensured to facilitate the patients with the transport arrangements & committed to keep working for the welfare of the underprivileged sections of the society in the future as well

Another medical camp in collaboration with Innocent Hearts Multispeciality Hospital, was organised by BMEMT at village Loharan.

 

'World Health Day

  DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT)  World Health Day was celebrated in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt Jandiala Road, Royal World and Kapurthala Road) with a purpose to make the children aware about health, cleanliness and food habits. Further, various activities were conducted under the theme 'Our Planet, Our Health' followed by a Dental checkup camp by richly experienced and qualified doctors who shared some valuable tips on cleanliness with the audience for a better self care. The children were also encouraged to take a healthy & nuitrious diet including milk, curd, green vegetables and fresh fruits to stay disease-free.

Stepping ahead with two new projects to serve the society

  Under the guidelines of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, a unit of Innocent Hearts Medical Care Center (Bowry Medical Centre) ‘Innocent Hearts Eye Centre', located at 73 Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar has announced two latest projects for the welfare of society. Dr. Rohan Bowry (MS Opthalmology) (F.P.R.S. Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Medical Retina Specialist) being the chief of the 'INNOCENT HEARTS EYE CENTER’ mentioned that the two projects, VISION KAMLESH (Free Cataract Surgery Camp) and Dr. MD BOWRY DIABETIC RETINAL CARE (treatment of eyes of diabetic patients with special care), are going to be launched shortly for the betterment of society. The camps to be held will be organized in the adopted villages of Trust & shall be completely free of cost.

COVID-19 Vaccination Camp for Children (15-18 years)

DISHA-An Initiative By Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust (BMEMT),  organized Covid-19 vaccination camp for school students aged between 15 to 18 years, at Innocent Hearts, in collaboration with the Civil Hospital under Medical Services.  F urther, the children, along with their parents were made aware by renowned medical experts- Dr. Anup Bowry (Chairman of Innocent Hearts Group) and Dr. Chander Bowry (Managing Director, Health Services) about the benefits of vaccination followed by necessary precautions to prevent the risk of virus infection.
