Social Awareness Campaign

 A Social awareness campaign through a road rally was organized under Disha-an initiative of BMEMT, in order to create awareness regarding various social issues & key concerns of our society such as Organic Farming, Blood Donation, Beti Bachao Beti Parhao, Tree Plantation, Eye Donation etc. whereby students along with teachers from multiple streams especially agriculture, medical science & Hotel Management participated enthusiastically, thereby covering six surrounding villages (Buddo Pinder, Authola, Khohala, Nijjran, Lallian Kallan, Rampur Lallian)

The rally was coupled with the provision of FREE medical services such as Blood Test, Sugar test etc. Also, the local farmers were educated about the need & importance of Organic Farming.

Under 'Disha- An Initiative' (run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust), 'World Sight Day' was celebrated in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.- Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road) to make the children aware about visual impairment and blindness and also to promote the importance of vision health.
