Seminar on Cervical Cancer

Disha : an initiative, run and managed by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust organised  a seminar  at Innocent Hearts School, on cervical cancer for its girl  students and staff.  It was organized in  collaboration with Phulkari, Conquer Cancer Organization . The event aimed to educate and empower girls and women about the importance of early detection and prevention of cervical cancer. 

Renowned experts shared valuable insights and guidelines on causes and symptoms of cervical cancer , importance of vaccination and screening ,healthy lifestyle choices for prevention, latest medical advancements and treatment options.
Dr Palak Gupta Bowry, CSR Director, Innocent Hearts mentioned that "This initiative is crucial for spreading awareness and promoting women's health. We're committed to fostering a healthy and informed community."

'World Sight Day'.

  Under the aegis of Disha- an initiative run by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, the students were made aware of various issues relating to eyes on the occasion of ‘World Sight Day'.   An eminent medical expert Dr. Rohan Bowry( M.B.B.S, M.S. F.P.R.S. -Phaco Refractive Surgeon, Innocent Hearts Eye Centre) shared tips for the well-being of eyes. The session was based on the theme" Love Your Eyes" in which important facts and common eye problems were talked about. The expert Ophthalmologist, Dr. Rohan Bowry,   focused on the need to wear sunglasses so that the eyes can be protected from UV rays. He emphasized that 'Prevention is Better than Cure ' so one should take care of the eyes before it's too late.. He concluded the session with a wonderful tip that nutritious food & green leafy vegetables play an important role to keep the eyes healthy

Innocent Hearts spread the colors of freedom with Cyclothon

Innocent Hearts Group, under the aegis of Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust , took out a massive cycle rally from Innocent Hearts Green Model Town, Jalandhar city, celebrating the 75th Independence Day, thereby spreading awareness amongst the society to foster respect for the nation The participants took an oath to have a deep regard for the national flag & to protect the integrity of India and the motherland.  The whole atmosphere reverberated with the slogans of ' Bharat Mata Ki Jai.' Around 600 students and staff members participated in this 'Wheels of Freedom' Cyclothon.  A team of doctors from Innocent Hearts Multi Speciality Hospital were readily available to deal with any kind of emergency.    

Yoga for “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”

  Under the aegis of "Disha- an Initiative" run by Bowry Memorial Educational & Medical Trust, on the occasion of International Yoga Day, a session on 'Fitness through Yoga' was organized with a view to promote amongst masses, that Yoga is a spiritual discipline , which helps in bringing harmony between mind and body.. The session was conducted by Ms. Sonia Aeron and Ms. Meena Gupta, certified yoga instructors from Ministry of AYUSH and Sri Sri School of Yoga.  They emphasized that yoga is an art & a science of living a healthy life.  This maintains balance in the body, brings strength and flexibility.  Proper techniques of performing various asanas like Bhujang Asana, Virbhadra Asana, Marakat Asana and Surya Namaskar were taught, thereby focusing on the breathing exercises/Pranayama
