Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions marked Republic Day 2025 with an inspiring celebration centered on environmental sustainability and national pride. The event was organized by the Cultural Committee in collaboration with DISHA—an initiative under the Innocent Hearts Group's CSR project aimed at promoting social welfare and sustainable practices. As part of its commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal SDG 13( Climate Action), the event raised awareness about reducing carbon footprints and fostering sustainable development. Students from various departments participated in a range of activities that reflected both environmental consciousness and a deep respect for India's rich heritage. The day's events included Poem Recitation, Speech, Role-Play, Skit, Mime, Group Dance, Poster Making, and Slogan Writing Competitions. Each activity was designed to engage students creatively while highlighting the importance of zero carbon emissions and sustainability. In the Slogan Writing Competition, Muskan from BCA 4th semester secured the first position, followed by Bhavleen Kaur (B.Sc. Microbiology) in second place, and Deepika Chauhan (BCA 2nd semester) in third. In the Poster Making Competition, Shivam (BCA 2nd semester) claimed the first spot, Kajal (B.Sc. MLS) secured second place, and Kiran (BCA 4th semester) stood third. A special consolation prize was awarded to Anjali Kumari (B.Sc. MLS 6th semester) for her creative contribution. The Green Oath was administered by students and faculty, and it was also signed by members of the management, faculty, and students, showcasing the commitment of Innocent Hearts to achieving sustainable development goals.The focus on SDG 13 and sustainability was further reflected in the creative works, where students demonstrated their dedication to reducing carbon footprints through innovative ideas and art. The event also emphasized the importance of adopting greener habits and reducing energy consumption, encouraging students to take tangible actions in their daily lives.This Republic Day celebration not only promoted sustainability but also honored India's Golden Heritage, reminding students of their role in nation-building and contributing to a greener, more prosperous future.
