In collaboration with Punjab Police, a special awareness session on drug prevention and social media safety was held under the Disha program — an initiative by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust.
Students of Grades 9 & 10 were educated and empowered to:
-
Recognize early signs of drug abuse and addiction
-
Stay alert while commuting and never accept food from strangers
-
Understand how drug traffickers misuse social media platforms to trap youth
-
Identify physical and behavioral symptoms of drug use and seek timely help
-
Memorize helpline numbers 112 and 1930 for quick emergency assistance
-
Report any suspicious or illegal activity confidently — help is always available
This impactful session aimed to create socially responsible, tech-smart, and drug-aware youth—because a safe student is a strong citizen.
Let’s stay aware, stay safe, and stand together for a Drug-Free India.
