Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – A Tribute Rooted in Love & Legacy at Innocent Hearts

In a heartfelt endeavor to blend environmental responsibility with emotional tribute, Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions proudly conducted a unique and symbolic tree plantation drive titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. This green initiative, held across all five campuses — Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road — celebrated not only the essence of motherhood but also strengthened the school’s commitment to a sustainable future

A Green Drive with Deep Roots

Organized under Disha – An Initiative by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, this drive was in alignment with Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) launched by the Government of India and Mission Haryali by the Punjab Government. The event was gracefully led by:

  • Mrs. Shally Bowry – Executive Director, Schools

  • Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry – Director, CSR

  • Mrs. Shailja Aggarwal – Community Leader, Helping Souls NGO

Together, they reinforced the vital message: just like mothers, trees nurture, protect, and give life selflessly.

Highlights of Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam:

Mothers and children participated together by planting saplings, turning the activity into a moment of love, learning, and legacy.
Every plant was named after a national hero, connecting young minds with the legacy of India's pride.
MUN delegates and Eco Club ambassadors pledged to nurture these trees, ensuring their growth and continued care.
Students were encouraged to adopt and care for a plant near their homes, extending the initiative into the community.

Planting Seeds of Awareness and Responsibility

This initiative wasn’t just about planting trees. It was about planting values — of gratitude, sustainability, and collective responsibility. The thoughtful symbolism of linking a tree to a mother created a profound emotional impact among participants, reinforcing the role of nature as a universal nurturer.

By involving students, parents, educators, and local community leaders, Innocent Hearts once again showcased how education and social responsibility go hand-in-hand.

 Looking Ahead

With Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, Innocent Hearts has sown the seeds for a greener, more compassionate tomorrow. The campaign serves as a powerful reminder that every act of care counts, and when rooted in love, it can grow into a lasting legacy.

Let’s all take a pledge — to plant, to protect, and to pass on a greener planet to the next generation.
