Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, reflecting a deep sense of national pride and respect for India’s democratic values. The celebration was organized by the Cultural Committee and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members across various departments.
The event highlighted the themes “Swatantrata ka Mantra – Vande Mataram” and “Samridhi ka Mantra – Atmanirbhar Bharat,” emphasizing the ideals of freedom, unity, and self-reliance. The programme began with a welcome note, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, which filled the atmosphere with patriotism and reverence for the nation.
Students actively participated in a variety of activities including speech, poem recitation, solo song, and creative competitions, showcasing their talent and love for the country. The speech focused on topics such as Self-Reliant India and the importance of Voting Rights, inspiring students to understand their role in strengthening democracy. A solo song and meaningful poem recitation further enriched the celebration.
A special highlight of the programme was the soulful “Vande Mataram” patriotic chorus performed by faculty members, which deeply moved the audience and strengthened the spirit of unity and nationalism. The event also included a dignitary address, encouraging students to uphold constitutional values and contribute positively to the nation’s progress.
As part of the celebrations, Essay Writing and Poster Making Competitions were organized to promote creative expression and patriotic thinking among students. In the Essay Writing Competition, Mehak (BBA 2nd Semester) secured the first position, while Muskaan (BBA 6th Semester) and Manjot (BBA 6th Semester) jointly secured the second position. Sukhninder Kaur (B.Com 4th Semester) received special appreciation for her effort. In the Poster Making Competition, Amanjot Kaur (BCA 2nd Semester) won the first position, followed by Deepika Chauhan (BCA 4th Semester) in second place and Dikhsha (B.Com 6th Semester) in third.
