Yoga Session for Mental Well-Being Club Students

The Mental Well-Being Club of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organized an energetic and rejuvenating yoga session for its students  under the “Disha – An Initiative” being conducted under the aegis of the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust, in collaboration with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). The objective of the session was to raise awareness among students about physical fitness, mental health, and a healthy lifestyle.

The program was organized as part of the “Special Service Fortnight” being observed from February 24 to March 10 to mark the 75th Foundation Year of ESIC. The primary aim of this initiative is to promote health awareness and public outreach activities. The event was especially graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Hemraj Rana, Branch Manager, ESIC.

The yoga session was conducted by experienced instructors Ms. Sarita Malhotra and Mr. Sachin Chadha from the District Ayurvedic and Unani Office. They guided students through various yoga asanas, pranayama techniques, stretching exercises, and meditation practices. The instructors also explained the scientific and therapeutic benefits of yoga for stress management, improved concentration, and overall well-being. Students participated enthusiastically and gained significant benefits from the session.

The calm and positive environment encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily lives, helping them maintain a healthy balance between mental and physical well-being.

The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Dhanju, Director Academics, IHGI. As a token of appreciation, the guests were presented with green saplings. Mr. B.S. Aggarwal (In-Charge HR, Innocent Hearts Group), Ms. Sharmila Nakra (Deputy Director, Cultural Affairs), and Mr. Rahul Jain (Director Operations, IHGI) were also present on the occasion.

The yoga session was highly successful in reinforcing the importance of holistic development and overall well-being among students, in alignment with the objectives of the Mental Well-Being Club.
