Skincare and Summer Hygiene

Under the aegis of Disha- an initiative run and managed by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust Innocent Hearts School organized an informative and engaging session on 16 May 2026 on the topic “Teenage Skin and Summer Sun: Managing Acne, Heat, and Hygiene.” The session was conducted at 10:00 a.m. through Zoom for the students of Grades XI and XII, with participation from students of all branches. An offline gathering of students was also arranged in the school auditorium. The session was conducted by Dr. Inderpreet Kaur, MBBS, MD (Gold Medalist), a skin and aesthetic specialist at Innocent Hearts Super Speciality Hospital. She elaborated on the changes that occur in the skin during the summer season, hormonal changes during adolescence, and the psychological impact of skin-related concerns. She also emphasized the importance of adopting proper hygiene and skincare habits according to changing lifestyles and environmental conditions, while motivating students to maintain self-confidence. The session was highly interactive and included a question-answer round in which both the students present in the auditorium and those attending online participated enthusiastically and got their queries resolved.
The programme was successfully managed by the Student Council of Grades XI and XII under the guidance of teachers. On this occasion, Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry , Director CSR stated that the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust always remains committed to the welfare and upliftment of students, staff members, and society.The session proved to be highly useful and inspiring for the students, encouraging them to become more aware and conscious about skincare, hygiene, and overall health during the summer season.
